Playable characters can carry two primary weapons, grenades, and a smaller, secondary weapon such as the Snub Pistol. The game uses a number of weapons, but predominately featured is the Lancer Assault Rifle, which has a mounted chainsaw bayonet that can deal melee damage at close range. Gears of War is a third-person shooter that places emphasis on using cover to avoid taking damage while moving towards enemy forces.
Gears 5 (2019) is the direct sequel to Gears of War 4 and revolves around Kait Diaz, a friend of JD. So prolific has Microsoft been of late, that the One S can be bought in up to three Gears of War 4flavours. The Xbox One S is splurging Special, Limited, and We'll Never Sell This Again, Really editions like there's no tomorrow. Special editions and bundles are Microsoft's strategy of the moment.
